(1) Female moviegoers are incapable of thinking critically or ironically about the entertainment they consume.

(2) Female romantic fantasies are psychologically sick.

(3) Degree of “scariness” is the only true measurement by which to evaluate an author or filmmaker’s use of horror tropes; using them as a metaphor for love or for teenage anxieties is, on its face, laughable.

(4) A bad movie marketed towards male audiences is forgivable; a bad movie marketed towards female audiences is a crime against culture that needs to be “taken down” in print.

(5) It is not contradicting yourself to expose a film for its sexist attitudes while presuming to “speak for” women in the most condescending language possible.
