The Italian Royal Corps of Colonial Troops was a pefect mirror of a Nation born only 18 years before: great bravery, ambition, approximation and dilettantism.
Adwa represented the natural ending of a foolish path of heroic deeds, big battles and something more than little skirmishes both against Abyssinians and Dervishes (the only who never won against us).
For my battles with HOTE the Italian army draws inspiration from the troops operating in our colony around 1893-1895, before the arrival of reinforcements form Italy, destined to die within the Adwa’s ambas.
All the miniatures are Tin Soldier, except warbands and cavalry which are Essex.
Il Regio Corpo delle Truppe Coloniali ha rappresentato tutto cio che l'Italia stessa ha rappresentato sin dalla sua nascita 18 anni prima: grande coraggio, ambizione, approssimazione e dilettantismo.
Adua ha rappresentato la naturale conclusione di un percorso folle che aveva visto il nostro esercito compiere atti eroici, grandi battaglie e piccole scaramucce sia contro gli Abissini che contro i Dervisci (gli unici a dire il vero a non averci mai sconfitto).
Per le mie battaglie di HOTE l'esercito italiano prende ispirazione da quello degli anni 1893-95, prima che arrivassero i rinforzi dall'Italia, destinati a morire tra le ambe di Adua.
Tutte le miniature sono Tin Soldier, eccetto per le warband e la cavalleria che sono Essex.
